My Poem Experience

Hi this is Maya speaking. At school I do this club and it’s called ” Writing Club “. One day my writing club teacher Mrs. Brown said that we had to write a poem to enter into a competition. Anyways, I get this postcard from my classroom teacher Mrs. Bledsoe that has my poem on it that I wrote for writing club. I read the whole postcard and boy…..!!!!! was I shocked. The  funny thing was when I wrote my poem in writing club I thought, what’s the point in writing this poem it’s not gonna win anything at all. But, when I was reading the postcard it said. ” Congratulations Maya your poem will be  published in a book of poems because we thought it was wonderful “. I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to tell my parents. Later, on the intercom at school the principal said ” Maya your poem will be published in a book of poems, congratulations “. Then, all my friends were me asking about it. When I got home, I told my parents about it. They were so proud of me. My mom was like ” Can I post it on Facebook ? ” So I said yes and I was so proud of myself for writing that poem. Oh!!!! And by the way that poem was called ” Describing Forest Poem “.  It was a narrative. about the forest and all the beauty you see around you.  Grandma read it and said “Msybe your mom and dad can take you camping so you can experience these things up close.”  My mom is learning about global warming in her college course and she was so proud when she read it.  So that’s my poem experience.
